Job Description:

Package Operator Role

We are seeking a skilled Package Operator to join our team at the Newcastle plant. Our modern and highly automated Refinery and Packing Operations Facility processes products for multiple customers in the food industry within Australia and internationally.

This is an exciting opportunity to operate and maintain highly automated production machinery that packages oils, in an organised and timely manner. You will transport and store packaged stock and products in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate semi to highly automated food packaging lines
  • Prepare oil blends and additive mixtures as requested
  • Transfer materials using a reach truck in or out of racking systems
  • Conduct repair/breakdown and preventative maintenance of all packaging equipment
  • Complete accurate production records in SAP system and perform monthly product stock takes

Requirements:

  • Forklift license - preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting and prioritization skills with great communication skills
  • Computer literate including being able to enter and retrieve data accurately
  • High levels of physical fitness, with an ability to lift and handle 20kgs, work at heights and ascend/descend stairs
  • Pass required medical, drivers licence and police checks

Benefits:

You will have a 3-week rotating roster, working 12-hour shifts (3 to 4 per week) covering day and nights, Monday to Friday. This will allow for plenty of work life balance.
