Job Description

The Head of Assurance plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's safety, wellbeing and environmental compliance standards.

This leadership position works in partnership with the HSE leadership team to deliver compliance with internal and external systems, exceeding customer and stakeholder expectations.

A safety leader who understands governance and compliance, this role leads a team to execute the HSE Strategic Plan and Programs, advancing the company's strategy through operational excellence.

  • Leading a team of HSE professionals in building a total business HSE governance framework.
  • Partnering with business units to take corrective action and improve processes.
  • Serving as an expert resource in governance and assurance, providing advice and recommendations.
  • Working with employees to identify assurance measures and mechanisms.
  • Demonstrating visible safety leadership and fostering positive HSE cultural change.

Key responsibilities include leading a team of HSE professionals, partnering with business units and serving as an expert resource.

Requirements

To be successful, the Head of Assurance requires:

  • An open mindset and commitment to career development.
  • Chartered/Certified HSE professional (desirable).
  • Internal and external Auditor qualifications.
  • 7-10 years practical experience in a HSE leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of governance and assurance framework development.
