About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Executive to join our Practice Support team in our Sydney office. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, proactive business support to our Partners and senior legal operatives.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of our practice, including financial support, diary management, expense management, document management, and Learning Management System (LMS) administration. You will also be responsible for understanding and managing administrative client requirements to ensure consistent client service delivery across matter teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practice and client management support, including financial support, diary management, expense management, document management, and LMS administration.
  • Understand and manage administrative client requirements to ensure consistent client service delivery.
  • Understand the commercial drivers of a legal practice, interpret data, and apply client knowledge when supporting partners with practice management.
  • Manage all administrative duties associated with the financials of a matter, including billing, e-billing audits, tracking of non-dispatched bills, missing timesheets, cost estimates, and reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with members within and outside of the Practice Support team to ensure a high quality of work and standards of services are delivered to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to others and be a source of information on drafting, producing documents, and practice management process and procedures.
About You

We are looking for an experienced and skilled individual who has a strong background in a similar role, ideally within a law firm. You will have excellent written communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to draft correspondence, presentations, pitch documents, and slide packs quickly and accurately.

You will also have strong organisational skills, the ability to thrive in an environment of continuous change, and a high degree of initiative, proactivity, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you will have a willingness to take ownership for the completion of tasks/projects and deliver innovative solutions to improve systems and work practices.
