About the Therapeutic Support Role

We are seeking an experienced therapeutic professional to join our team in Newcastle, Australia.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people who have complex trauma, delivering trauma-informed support.

The successful candidate will lead a team of clinicians to provide assessments and interventions, providing expertise to clients. They will also develop and deliver positive behaviour strategies, building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to provide assessments and interventions.
  • Provide therapeutic knowledge and expertise to clients.
  • Complete Positive Behaviour Support Plans and assessments.
  • Develop and deliver positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A degree-level tertiary qualification in a related health field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Counselling).
  • Registration with relevant professional associations.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering support services to children and adolescents with challenging behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of positive behaviour support approaches.
