Child Protection Specialist Role

We are committed to keeping families together so that children thrive in their homes. As a child protection specialist, you will build strong relationships and appreciate the importance of children to our future.

The role involves working sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people. You will develop safety plans, complete risk assessments, and manage complex cases and situations, including working with vulnerable clients and their families.

You will also be involved in court processes, engage in strategic problem solving, and participate in individual and group supervision.

In this challenging and rewarding role, you will have opportunities for ongoing professional development and support. You will work collaboratively with other agencies, including those serving Aboriginal and diverse communities.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Social Work, Social Science, Community Welfare, or a related field
