Family Focused Mental Health Specialist

This is a specialist mental health service for Children of Parents with Mental Illness, working collaboratively with the assigned adult mental health clinician to provide family-focused care for both parents and children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide child and infant mental health support for young people whose parents are linked with an Adult Mental Health Team.
  • Support families experiencing acute mental health disorders, including severe or complex perinatal mental health conditions, depression and/or anxiety, postpartum psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, complex trauma, and personality disorders.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary clinical support of the Adult Mental Health Team, including direct line management.
Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Child and Youth Mental Health, professional registration/membership as applicable, plus significant clinical experience in Child and Youth Mental Health.
  • An Australian drivers' licence.
