**Job Opportunity:** Disability Support Worker
**About the Role:** We are seeking a dedicated individual to support a young man with epilepsy who enjoys outdoor activities. This role involves accompanying him on regular trips to the beach, walks, and recreational outings while ensuring his safety and well-being.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Support the participant in leisure settings such as surfing or coastal walks.
- Establish a strong rapport with the participant, understanding their communication style and behavior, and provide empathetic support.
- Ensure timely attendance, monitor safety, and maintain open communication with families and coordinators.
- Adjust your approach according to the participant's mood, energy, or health each day.
- Maintain awareness of the participant's epilepsy and take necessary precautions to ensure a safe environment and risk management.
**Requirements:** Valid Driver's License, Reliable Vehicle, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, First Aid & CPR Certificate, COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.
**Preferred Requirements:** Previous experience supporting individuals with epilepsy or ability to document activities and report health concerns.
**Location:** Melton VIC 3337 (preferred) and surrounding areas.
