Job Opportunity: Female Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide specialized care and support to a female client with complex behaviors of concern. This role requires a compassionate and patient individual who can build trust and rapport while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the client.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and follow behavior support plans tailored to the client's specific needs, ensuring safety and promoting positive outcomes.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and other daily living activities.
  • Administer prescribed medications according to the care plan, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Support the client in accessing community activities, social engagements, and appointments, promoting social inclusion and independence.
  • Respond effectively to challenging behaviors and crises, using approved de-escalation techniques and maintaining a calm, supportive presence.
  • Maintain accurate records of the client's progress, incidents, and any changes in behavior or health status.
  • Collaborate with the client's family, healthcare providers, and other support staff to ensure consistent and holistic care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay informed about best practices in disability support and behavior management.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or related field.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with complex behaviors of concern is highly desirable.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate (if applicable).
