About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will primarily focus on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations within our organisation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute weekly payroll, including responsibility for all pay-related queries and payroll compliance.
  • Complete comprehensive financial compliance tasks, including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Workcover reconciliations.
  • Coordinate end-of-month accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy through reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Maintain the integrity of accounting records, including Cash Accounts reconciliation and Fixed Asset Register management.
  • Support the development of accounting policies, process enhancements, and internal controls.
  • Provide high-level support to the Business Services Manager on financial management, data auditing, and analysis, while staying updated on legislative changes and new technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum Diploma of Accounting or equivalent, along with membership in a recognised Accounting body.
  • Familiarity with MYOB Advanced or other ERP systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of both administrative functions and accounting support.
  • Proven experience supporting Finance Managers or higher, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and ATO compliance.
  • Strong proficiency in IT and systems, particularly Excel and Word.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
