Clinical Nurse Specialist - Consultation and Liaison
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Youth and Mental Health Services team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical expertise, supportive advice, and high-level care to young people and their families experiencing complex mental health concerns.
Key Responsibilities- Providing specialist triage, crisis, and clinical assessment services that support the principles of right place, right time, and right care.
- Undertaking high-level assessments, developing and implementing care planning for designated clients, and promoting a positive working culture by developing effective partnerships with stakeholders.
- Supporting the reduction of Emergency Department waiting times, admissions, and early discharge through the identification, negotiation, and initiation of alternative appropriate and safe community-based supports.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualifications.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
