Employee Relations Specialist

This is a key role in delivering employee relations initiatives, including change programs and compliance projects.

The position supports the development of scalable solutions to manage ER risks across the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactive compliance planning and culture building within the ER team and with business leaders
  • Leading or contributing to strategic ER projects strengthening compliance, transformation, and improving ER frameworks
  • Developing and implementing ER tools, policies, and guidance materials promoting consistency in ER risk management
  • Monitoring the external employment and regulatory landscape to identify changes impacting internal policies and recommending proactive responses
  • Partnering with business leaders and HR teams to identify compliance gaps, capability needs, or improvement opportunities, and delivering targeted solutions

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a future-focused mindset, and experience in leading ER compliance programs. They will also possess strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment law and modern awards.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Designing and delivering ER related projects with cross-functional stakeholder involvement
  • Applying judgement and assessing ER risk to develop scalable solutions promoting consistency and alignment across business units
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across corporate and operational environments
  • Confidence in drafting clear and fit for purpose documentation for ER change related programs, leader guidance material, and communications
  • Experience using data and case trends to inform priorities, shape compliance focus areas, and track effectiveness
