Climate Change Researcher

Climate change research opportunities abound in this prestigious position.
This is a chance for a skilled researcher to contribute to an ambitious climate science project addressing Australia's challenges and adaptation needs.
As part of the National Environmental Science Program Climate Systems Hub project on regional climate change guidance for local action, you will help improve our understanding and usability of climate projections and extremes.
You will work collaboratively across four NESP Hubs through the Climate Adaptation Initiative, contributing to a coordinated climate change and adaptation research program.
The role is based within the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Melbourne, supervised by Dr. Andrew King, with collaboration opportunities at the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO.
The ideal candidate has excellent knowledge of climate change science and variability, experience using climate models and large datasets.
