Invasive Species Management Specialist

This position plays a key role in the Pest Services team, providing strategic services and advice regarding the management of invasive species within the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.
- The successful candidate will participate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and continuously improve strategies and systems for invasive species management and its application across the QPWS estate.
- Key responsibilities include researching, analysing, and reviewing data and systems to assess the efficacy of the pest program, preparing correspondence and reports, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, and providing guidance to operational staff on invasive species management.
- The Senior Project Officer (Pests) will also be responsible for fostering a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and actively engaging through their work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations peoples of Australia.
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must have skills and experience in invasive species management or policy writing. Applications remain current for 12 months.
