Clinical Safety Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Safety Specialist to join our team at InterSystems. In this role, you will work closely with our clinical safety team to manage the adoption of our Clinical Safety Management Framework.

You will be responsible for providing clinical safety assurance services across our products, adapting and refining our Clinical Safety Management Framework and Plan for use, acting as an escalation point for reported clinical safety issues, and creating safety reports as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical safety assurance services across our products.
  • Adapt and refine our Clinical Safety Management Framework and Plan for use.
  • Act as an escalation point for reported clinical safety issues.
  • Create safety reports as appropriate from issues reported by customers, implementation, and support staff.
  • Perform clinical safety assessments to investigate and assess clinical risk in good faith to support and improve patient safety.
  • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team including regional edition, implementation, and support.
  • Deliver clinical safety training to internal and external groups.
  • Participate in the Clinical Safety Group activities.
  • Create and maintain region, project, and clinical safety documentation.
  • Provide clinical safety/risk assessment advice at customer sites.
  • Offer expert advice and share experience with customers and our team regarding lessons learned in the field particularly around clinical safety.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Clinical qualifications (Doctor, Senior Nurse, Pharmacist or Allied Health Professional).
  • Professional registrations.
  • 5-10 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in a secondary care setting.
  • A strong grasp of the clinical workflow in various inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Proven clinical stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in multiple languages as required depending on location.
  • Demonstrable experience of involvement in Clinical Governance activities.
Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, having experience in implementing successful clinical risk management activities, developing and delivering training materials and/or coaching, and EMR/HIS implementation would be beneficial.

Education

You should hold a clinical degree, preferably in Nursing or Medicine.

Salary Information

This role offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
