AusNet Services is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Access Planning Coordinator.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of planned electricity distribution & sub-transmission network access.

You will provide safe access to the distribution network for delivery partners to complete maintenance, minimising costs, re-work, and impact on customer supply reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate safe and secure access to the network for planned works, such as maintenance or asset installation.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of network operations, switching arrangements, and network topology.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of network access requests across electricity distribution and sub-transmission networks.
  • Create, review, and submit high-quality Switching Schedules for both planned and emergency works.
  • Review and approve network access applications and switching schedules.
  • Coordinate with field resources, high voltage customers, and relevant authorities to ensure effective planning of network access requests.
  • Prepare and submit customer notifications for planned outages.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with electrical operational knowledge and experience in writing switching schedules in line with AusNet Services policies and procedures.

A strong understanding of Electricity Distribution and sub-transmission network elements, operational policies, procedures, reporting, and codes of practice is essential.

Demonstrated knowledge of the Code of Practice on Electrical Safety in the VESI (The Blue/Green Book) and relevant experience working in a VESI environment is highly desirable.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification is preferred.

What We Offer

A competitive salary of $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
