About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sync and Licensing Manager to join our USYNC Licensing team at Universal Music Australia Pty Limited. This is a 12-month parental leave contract opportunity.

In conjunction with the Senior Director of Sync and Licensing, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing quotations and negotiating commercial terms as directed by the Senior Director
  • Identifying opportunities for placement of music to support marketing campaigns
  • End-to-end servicing including pro-active pitching, negotiations, and licensing
  • Creatively pitching repertoire to Australian client base
  • Collaborating to seek opportunities for domestic roster at a global level
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Coordinating listening sessions with key clients, in conjunction with Senior Director
  • Curation of USYNC playlists for all sectors
  • Seeking out bespoke opportunities for UMG artists, with a domestic lens
  • Developing artist strategies and sync opportunities
  • Investigating promotional and marketing opportunities
  • Managing communications for the USYNC team, including external and international
  • Maintaining CRM (Salesforce)
  • Managing pre-release schedules, new music meetings, and curation of DISCO playlists
  • Proactively seeking out new business opportunities for UMG artists
