Job Title: Senior Technical Officer

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Senior Technical Officer. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to utilize their technical skills and experience in a laboratory setting.


Job Description:

This position requires a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of laboratory operations. The successful candidate will provide technical support across various facilities, including the High Temperature Processing Laboratory and affiliated spaces. They will also be responsible for maintaining general housekeeping of these areas and ensuring safe laboratory operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of scientific principles and laboratory practices. They will be able to work effectively with students and staff from diverse backgrounds and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support across various laboratory facilities
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Ensure safe laboratory operations and maintain housekeeping of laboratory spaces
  • Collaborate with staff and students on daily basis
  • Align with organizational objectives and goals

Requirements:
  • Relevant degree and subsequent relevant work experience
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of laboratory practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create safety documentation and review safety policies
