Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a security function within a government ministry or agency, regulated industry, or company operating in a national security setting.

The Security Officer will be responsible for managing and administering compliance artefacts, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring the organization's adherence to Defence, AGSVA, and Australian Government requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage daily compliance activities, including maintenance of the DISP Security Register.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the GS2 ANZ portfolio's compliance with SAP's DISP and other government obligations.
  • Support the Regional Manager and Director GS2 (DISP Chief Security Officer) in monitoring, interpreting, and implementing policy and legislation changes.
  • Participate in global GS2 projects, tasks, compliance activities, and incident responses to ensure SAP Australia's DISP compliance.
  • Act as a Local Secrecy Officer, supporting the Director GS2 in interactions with SAP's Australian businesses.

Requirements

  • Significant management experience in a security function within a government ministry or agency, regulated industry, or company operating in a national security setting.
  • Australian citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Security Clearance, issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency, is required.
  • Undergraduate or postgraduate academic qualifications in related disciplines such as Government Protective Security, Information Assurance, Information Security, or Risk Management are highly desirable.
