Job Title: Security and Compliance Specialist

Melbourne Airport's catering facility requires a skilled Security and Compliance Specialist to ensure administrative support for ABF and Aviation Security compliance. This role reports to the National Security and Compliance Manager and collaborates with operations teams to provide essential support.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in Customs, ATO warehouse license applications, and strong attention to detail. Additionally, they should have demonstrated experience in similar admin support roles, preferably with experience in CCTV systems and Access control systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills are also necessary for success in this position.

As a Security and Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the National Security and Compliance Manager, maintaining staff lists, and assisting with security identification services, including ID access requests and onboarding/offboarding processes.

You will also assist in the management of security performance, including monitoring security audits, working with external auditors, and undertaking internal audits. The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under conflicting time pressures. A Cert IV in workplace training and assessment is highly desirable, as is the ability to obtain a clear National Police Check.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the National Security and Compliance Manager.
  • Assist in the management of security identification services, including ID access requests and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Maintain staff lists and assist with ABF B301 and B1555 updates.
  • Assist in the management of security performance, including monitoring security audits and working with external auditors.
  • Undertake internal audits and assist in effective monitoring of security performance.
  • Participate in new staff inductions and ensure all employees are aware of the Security requirements of the business.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience in Customs, ATO warehouse license applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated experience in similar admin support roles.
  • Experience in CCTV systems and Access control systems preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under conflicting time pressures.
  • Methodical, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication influencing skills.
