Technical Support Expert Sought

We are searching for a seasoned Technical Support Specialist to join our customer service team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for resolving complex technical issues and providing expert advice to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex customer technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leveraging advanced troubleshooting tools.
  • Readiness and Knowledge Sharing: You will lead in developing and delivering readiness programs, technical coaching, and mentoring to enhance the skills of your peers.
  • Professional Development: You will engage in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance your technical expertise, ensuring your ability to resolve complex customer issues.
  • Product and Process Improvement: You will work closely with Microsoft Engineering and Supportability teams to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to drive product enhancements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, technical consulting, or information technology OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical support, technical consulting experience, or information technology experience.
  • Strong leadership skills to handle complex and politically sensitive customer situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Logical and critical thinking to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Passion for technology and customer support to drive continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
Technical Skills and Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/UDP concepts, common tools, and commands required for troubleshooting.
  • Experience with infrastructure and network administration.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting large network environments and familiarity with packet sniffers such as Wireshark or Network Monitor.
  • Fundamental awareness of private, hybrid, and public cloud platforms, operating systems, virtualization, and software-defined networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of VPN, IPsec, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/S, MPLS/BGP/Layer3/Layer2/Wireshark analysis, and hands-on experience with proxy and firewall management.
