This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Finance Business Partner. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and advice to business leaders, leading budgeting and forecasting processes, and translating complex financial data into clear commercial narratives.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic financial plans, drive underwriting profitability analysis, and lead monthly loss ratio and claims trend reviews.
  • Your expertise in finance will be essential in partnering with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and developing and implementing initiatives to achieve business objectives.
  • You will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing forward-looking financial insights.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis processes.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear commercial narratives.
  • Partner on pricing, product development, and operational initiatives.
  • Manage and develop two high-performing direct reports.
  • Support strategic planning and board-level reporting.
  • Drive underwriting profitability analysis by product line, segment, and channel.
  • Lead monthly loss ratio and claims trend reviews, working closely with actuarial and pricing teams.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of commercial experience, ideally within the insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in an FP&A, business partner, or commercial finance role.
  • CA/CPA qualification is preferred.
  • Previous mentorship/leadership exposure is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively partner with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to determine priorities.
  • Insurance or financial services experience highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
