This position is based at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, a globally recognized centre of excellence in marine and climate science. The role focuses on investigating changes in ocean salinity and the Earth's water cycle.

As part of the prestigious ARC Laureate Fellowship project Precision Climate Tracking, this role offers the opportunity to support decision-makers with robust scientific evidence.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate changes in ocean salinity and the Earth's water cycle.
- Contribute to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, and wider community.
- Supervise University post-graduate research students.
- PhD or equivalent in physical oceanography or a highly related discipline.
- Good record of, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved international recognition.
- Experience in analysis of ocean observations and climate model data sets.
