Research Scientist for Ocean and Climate Change

This position is based at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, a globally recognized centre of excellence in marine and climate science. The role focuses on investigating changes in ocean salinity and the Earth's water cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate changes in ocean salinity and the Earth's water cycle.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally and nationally with the discipline, profession, and wider community.
  • Supervise University post-graduate research students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD or equivalent in physical oceanography or a highly related discipline.
  • Good record of, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved international recognition.
  • Experience in analysis of ocean observations and climate model data sets.
