The Australian National Police Checking Service is a critical component of the nation's efforts to combat serious and organised crime.

As part of our team, you will work against a pervasive, transnational and globalised criminal threat to realise an Australia hostile to criminal exploitation.

We are seeking motivated individuals to form part of a new team, established to manage secondary clearance activities for the National Police Checking Service (NPCS). The NPCS is an ICT system that allows Accredited Bodies and Police to provide Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks to the Australian community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Resolve identity for persons of interest who have matched against national police records;
  • Assist in the management of complex cases and issues escalated by junior staff;
  • Supervise staff and provide input to staff rostering as required;

**Requirements:

  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in their work;
  • Follows work processes with minimal supervision;
  • Analyzes available information to make accurate decisions;
  • Maintains privacy when working with sensitive data;
  • Implements business practices and policies to improve business functions;
  • Communicates effectively through written and oral reports;
  • Manages complex enquiries and escalates issues as needed.

**Eligibility:**

  • Must hold a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance or higher;
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19;
