Job Description

The National Police Checking Service (NPCS) is a vital component of Australia's criminal intelligence framework.

We advise senior decision-makers on serious and organised crime impacting the nation.

As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with Australian police agencies to ensure the smooth operation and continuity of the NPCS.

Our team conducts regular audits to assess each accredited body's operation, procedures, practices, and documents, ensuring they adhere to our requirements.

Additional responsibilities include managing education and action plans in response to adverse audit findings, providing end-to-end technical and customer support for the technical onboarding of accredited bodies, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify their business needs.

Requirements
  • Australian citizenship is required under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999.
  • A minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance is necessary.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is mandatory.
