Estimator Position Overview

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in construction estimating. The selected candidate will contribute to securing work with current and new clients, meeting or exceeding strategic and financial objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and assembly of bid proposals, including detailed estimates and pricing solicitations from qualified vendors and subcontractors.
  • Participation in bidding and pre-construction services, attending pre-bid meetings to determine scope and required contents.
  • Negotiation and preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects.
  • Collaboration with project management personnel in pre-job meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of relevant construction estimating experience in various general commercial building markets.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is highly preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software, such as WinEst, On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft programs.
