Job Title:

Home Care Support Worker



At Silver Chain Group, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Care Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Care Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, toileting etc.
  • Assist with medication, meal preparation, domestic assistance/general housekeeping tasks and social support in the community.
  • Follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, requiring unrestricted access to a vehicle.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Minimum 3 months relevant care worker experience for those with a relevant Certificate, or 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE) without a relevant Certificate.
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.

Benefits:
  • $45.10 per hour + super.
  • Travel allowance of $1.03 per k/m.
