Lead Operations for a Cinematic Experience

Moonlight Cinema is an iconic Australian summer tradition – bringing movies under the stars to parklands and gardens.

This role involves leading daily operations, including site set-up and pack-down, coordinating seasonal events, managing a team of onsite crew, and overseeing sponsorship activations.

  • Manage daily operations, including site set-up and pack-down
  • Coordinate seasonal events, including production scheduling
  • Lead a team of onsite crew, working closely with Assistant Venue Managers and Production Coordinators
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff
  • Manage food & beverage operations (ordering, invoice processing, and stock control)
  • Oversee sponsorship activations and ensure contractual deliverables are delivered to a high standard
  • Prepare rosters and manage payroll
  • AV operations, including screen and audio setup and content management
  • Implement operational plans and ensure workplace health and safety compliance

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership or management role
  • Previous experience in food and beverage, customer service, or event coordination
  • Cinema management or event management experience advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and operational requirements
  • Experience leading and motivating a casual workforce
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and time management skills
  • A collaborative approach with a can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Required: Current RSA and valid driver's license
