Operations Director Job Description

Job Title: Operations Director

Our organization seeks a seasoned Operations Director to provide strategic leadership and management across multiple sites and program areas.

The successful candidate will ensure that our Community Participation and Community Based Day Support framework is a catalyst for individuals to explore and engage in meaningful and purposeful activities, based on individual goals, preferences and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Support: Provide effective leadership and support to site coordinators, fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Talent Acquisition & Development: Recruit and induct new team members, while captaining the growth and development of staff through coaching, mentoring, and developing individual goals.
  • Training & Development: Identify and track individual and team training needs, working to support DSPs achieve their developmental goals.
  • Team Environment: Foster an environment of teamwork and collaboration, promoting reward and recognition.

This is a full-time position. We are seeking an experienced professional who can lead our teams with passion and dedication.

Requirements:

Applicants should have tertiary qualifications in disability or a related field, or a minimum of Certificate IV in Disability with substantial experience in the field.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating outdoor recreation or community-based programs.

They must also demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders, as well as experience managing and motivating a team, preferably in a multi-site environment.

Additionally, the successful applicant will possess self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and effectively plan, manage time, and prioritize tasks to meet quality outcomes.
