Wellbeing and Health Strategist

Camden Council is an evolving, rapidly growing, adaptive and innovative organisation that offers a unique opportunity for a Wellbeing and Health Strategist to join its dynamic and high-achieving People Learning and Culture Branch.
This pivotal role is crucial in enhancing health and wellbeing initiatives at the Council through the development of innovative programs, dedication to health and wellbeing for staff, and promoting the Council's Elev8 (Health and Wellbeing) Program.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of a team developing sound planning outcomes for the Council, providing a unique opportunity within one of Australia's fastest growing Councils.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Safety or Human Resources or an equivalent discipline, and demonstrated ability to interpret and implement legislation, relevant awards, codes, policies, and procedures. They will also be able to use initiative and act independently to ensure excellence in customer service and best practice.
The salary for this position is $1054.39 per week, plus Super, and includes a 35 hour working week, flexibility through flex leave provisions, health program including free flu vaccinations, skin checks, and health and wellbeing leave options, and ample free parking.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to lead the design, implementation and evaluation of wellbeing activities and stakeholder management in a diverse work environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate, consult and provide advice on health and wellbeing initiatives and injury management.

The position plays a crucial part in transforming our work environment and culture by researching, developing, and implementing health and wellbeing programs and providing advice and support to our staff and leadership team on the four pillars of health.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively coordinate health and wellbeing initiatives across the whole of council, tailoring initiatives to workgroups and demographics within Council.
The salary range for this position is $54,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
