Safety and Wellbeing Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Wellbeing Manager to join our team at Linfox Pty Ltd. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing our SH&W strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the leadership team to plan, develop, and execute the safety, health, and wellbeing plan
- Drive the Linfox safety evolution by coaching and mentoring others to increase knowledge, ownership, and engagement in SH&W
- Ensure the business takes a risk-based approach to identifying and controlling everyday and critical risks
- Facilitate 4Ds and STKY sessions to find better and safer ways to work
- Provide direction and support for serious incident investigations, focusing on learning, improvement, and implementing risk controls
- Embed health and wellbeing, focusing on general health, nutrition, fitness, and fatigue
- Create a mentally healthy workplace by educating and addressing psychosocial risks
- Manage the safety system and auditing to ensure compliance with legislative and self-insurance requirements
- Report and present on performance, trends, and outcomes
- Coach and develop the capability of the Safety, Health, and Wellbeing team
Requirements
- Risk: Understanding of how to practically identify, assess, and manage risk
- Coaching: Experience in coaching or training, with the ability to talk, listen, and influence across a broad range of stakeholders
- Culture: Experience in building a strong 'team-based' culture
- Safety: Experience in a safety role within a dynamic, high-risk environment
- Health & Wellbeing: Genuine interest and experience in health and wellness
- Compliance: Understanding of legislative responsibilities and the regulatory environment for WHS
- Learning: Keen interest in continuous learning and the ability to share learnings with others
- Enthusiasm & Passion: We want energy people who are happy to get their hands dirty but equally happy to discuss and partner with leaders to guide and influence
