Health and Wellbeing Officer

Camden Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Health and Wellbeing Officer to join their dynamic and high-achieving People Learning and Culture Branch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative health and wellbeing programs to enhance the work environment and culture.
  • Provide advice and support to staff and leadership on health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Research and develop measures to develop capability of staff and leaders to confidently manage their obligations and responsibilities associated with health, wellbeing and injury management.
  • Coordinate health and wellbeing initiatives across the whole of council, tailoring initiatives to workgroups and demographics.
  • Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of wellbeing activities and stakeholder management in a diverse work environment.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Safety or Human Resources or equivalent discipline or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement legislation, relevant awards, codes, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate, consult and provide advice on health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative to ensure excellence in customer service and best practice.
