Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and value creation of a portfolio of properties across Australia.

The Asset Manager Associate will support the Asset Management Team in shaping and defining asset strategic and business plans, undertaking commercial deal analysis, assisting with project or development management, property management liaison and disposals across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Defining and creating asset strategies and annual business plans/budgets with corresponding financial models (DCF) ensuring consistency with investors' strategy">
  • Maintaining accurate records of asset budgets (revenues, opex and capex) comparing to approved business plans">
  • Analysing commercial leasing deals and conducting internal valuation analysis">
  • Maintaining financial models (DCF, valuation and other commercial models)">
  • Presenting to key stakeholders, including Fund Managers, Senior Asset Managers, and Investment Committee">
  • Implementing asset level ESG action plans and identifying new opportunities to enhance ESG related performance">
  • Managing and liaising with property managers to achieve asset level KPI's, ensuring adherence to best management practices and resolving disputes">
  • Contributing to the implementation of the marketing and letting strategy">
  • Assisting with the successful delivery of Capex projects, refurbishment, or development programs, working closely with internal and/or external advisors">
  • Providing analytical and presentation support on ad hoc strategic / managerial topics">
  • Monitoring external valuations, asset KPI's and contributing to investor reporting">
  • Supporting investment underwritings led by the Transactions team and onboard new assets, and assisting the Transaction team and Senior Asset Managers for disposals">

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance or real estate (or equivalent)">
  • API or RICS Certification preferred but not required">
  • 3-8 years' experience in the real estate sector">
  • Relevant experience in real estate in an asset & investment manager / property company / letting or investment agent / professional advisory firm in the real estate industry">
  • Good knowledge of local real estate market and understanding of financial techniques (and experience in property analytics) related to real estate investments">
