Job Title: Wind Turbine Technician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the efficient operation of wind turbines by performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting performance checks.
  • Repair or replace defective plant equipment, ensuring timely restoration of optimal plant performance.
  • Operate assigned plants safely and efficiently, adhering to established procedures.
  • Diligently document activities, readings, materials, and time used for accurate input into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Evaluate plant performance against quality standards through technical inspections and test plans, ensuring adherence to requirements.
  • Respond promptly to after-hours call-outs as per the designated standby roster.
  • Collaborate with other wind farm sites as needed to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in relevant training programs to enhance technical expertise and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Holding an accredited electrical trade qualification.
  • Preferably possessing wind turbine experience or accreditation, although not essential.
  • Current driver's license is mandatory.
  • High voltage switching experience and certification are highly desirable.
  • A strong background in heavy industry work is advantageous.
  • A fundamental understanding of asset management principles is beneficial.
