Job Opportunity: Principal Probity Investigator

The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Probity Investigator to join our team in the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation.

About the Role

This challenging and rewarding role involves ensuring the probity of those involved in the liquor and gaming industries, as well as ensuring the integrity of these industries. As a Principal Probity Investigator, you will work within a small and high-performing team of eight, building the capability of team members and conducting complex suitability investigations to make recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and interpret a range of legal and financial documents to provide advice and support to management.
  • Deliver outstanding service to stakeholders, including individuals and corporations associated with the Queensland liquor and gaming industries.
  • Mentor team members and provide advice to management about operational and policy issues.
  • Assess the suitability of individuals and corporations associated with the Queensland liquor and gaming industries.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyse and interpret financial and legal agreements, arrangements, statements, and reports in a complex regulatory environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience in making recommendations and preparing briefing notes and correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-performing and collaborative team environment, including being highly motivated to deliver outcomes in line with regulatory objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability in building the capability of investigators to deliver timely, effective, quality client service and high-quality investigations.
