About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Project Officer to lead our Environmental Recovery Program in Queensland. As a key member of our Healthy Waters team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of environmental projects and programs that support the recovery of communities and the environment after disaster events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the administration of the Environmental Recovery Program, including project assessment, grant and procurement management, evaluation and reporting, communication, stakeholder engagement and governance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, first nations peoples and external organizations.
  • Oversee the implementation of environmental projects and programs, including environmental investigations, clean up, invasive species management, biodiversity conservation and riverine recovery activities.
  • Ensure effective communication and engagement with stakeholders, including regular reporting and updates on program progress.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure alignment with Queensland Government's environmental policies and strategies.
