Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Optical Practice Manager to join our team at ProVision. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations across two of our optometry practices, ensuring our team delivers outstanding customer service while maintaining efficient and effective practice management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management:
    • Oversee, train, and support a talented team of optometrists and dispensers/managers.
    • Conduct regular meetings and check-ins to ensure team alignment and productivity.
    • Manage absences, schedules, and performance reviews to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Step in as Manager/Dispenser when needed, providing hands-on support to the team.
    • Proactively address customer concerns and ensure exceptional service standards are met.
  • Business Development:
    • Develop and execute business strategies to attract new customers.
    • Manage business relationships with local businesses, healthcare professionals, and suppliers.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed.
  • Director Support:
    • Assist the director in managing two busy practices, offering strategic support and insights.
    • Provide recommendations for business growth and development.

About You:

  • Experience & Skills:
    • Previous optical experience and retail/management skills are preferred.
    • Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping people.
    • Experience in business development and marketing is highly desirable.
