We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optical Dispensing Assistant to join our front of house team at the Australian College of Optometry. As a key member of our clinical function, you will play a vital role in supporting optometrists across our clinics and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide outstanding customer care to patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Explain fees and patient financial responsibility, and inform patients of payment requirements.
- Provide advice on services and appointments, including accurate input of patient details and allocation of appointments.
- Manage patient books, ensuring clinics run at optimal capacity.
- Assist patients with frame selection and other dispensary services.
- Verify the accuracy of finished lenses and spectacles, ensuring they meet required standards.
- Maintain patient records to ACO standards.
- Follow up with patients who fail to attend appointments.
- Be willing to cover other sites as required.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, a flexible attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience in patient management software and dispensing is preferred but not essential.
