Business Performance Specialist

A key performance analyst is needed to collaborate with the National Operations Loss Team to deliver actionable insights and business performance reporting for Australian Supermarkets as it relates to stock loss.

The primary responsibility of this role is to work within the operations finance team to provide performance analysis, drive business improvement, optimize end-to-end performance, champion continuous enhancement, foster collaboration, and build strong relationships across various teams.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Key Insights: Provide in-depth analysis and commentary on departmental and category performance.
  • Drive Business Improvement: Offer strategic support and lead key forecasting and planning processes.
  • Optimize End-to-End Performance: Collaborate with operational and finance stakeholders to enhance overall performance.
  • Champion Continuous Enhancement: Identify, implement, and lead process enhancements within the finance team and across the business.
  • Foster Collaboration: Actively engage in team development and maintain robust financial processes and controls.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Establish effective working relationships across various teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certified public accountant or equivalent experience preferred, with multinational FMCG or retail experience advantageous.
  • Able to communicate complex financial information effectively, including presentation and storyboarding skills.
  • Sound organizational and time management skills, including ability to navigate uncertainty, conflicting demands, and shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Ability to work flexibly and with agility.
  • Experienced using and navigating large data sets to support key messages.
