Claims Expertise Role Overview

The Claims Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting claims teams in delivering high-quality outcomes through technical leadership, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities
  • Champion customer-focused claims experiences by embodying company values.
  • Provide expert advice on complex claims, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements while promoting best practice claims management.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of claims to identify risks, ensure accuracy, and uphold quality standards across the team.
  • Monitor claims decisions to support sound financial outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regulators, legal representatives, and claims teams.
  • Utilize data driven insights and collaboration to identify opportunities to enhance claims management outcomes and performance.
  • Contribute to reporting on claims performance, trends, and provide actionable insights that inform decision-making.
About YouRequired Experience & Knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in claims management with a focus on CTP claims (NSW MAIA scheme).
  • Sound knowledge of CTP legislation, processes, and legal frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High integrity, accountability, and professional judgement.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to identifying risks, solutions and continuously improving claims outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in coaching, feedback, and team support.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and cross-functional collaboration.
Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work model combining work from home and attendance in office locations. The Sydney office is situated in the heart of the city with accessible commuting options.
