Australian Unity is seeking experienced Care Support Specialists to join our team in Northern Sydney.

About the Role

  • As a Care Support Specialist, you will work with our aged care customers in their homes, providing support and assistance with daily living tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • You will also assist customers with transportation and personal care, including appointments, shopping, and social outings.
  • Your role will involve building relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations, and providing ongoing support and training.
  • You will be responsible for adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe.

What We Offer

  • Earn from $29.06 to $32.56 per hour based on your experience plus 11.5% super.
  • Travel allowance of $0.92 per KM PLUS paid travel time.

Key Requirements

  • Current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday.
  • Willing to travel across all suburbs that the branch services.
  • All Australian Unity Employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID19 with a minimum of 2 doses.
  • Proficiency in an additional language such as Mandarin/ Vietnamese/ Spanish/ Arabic/ Lebanese/ Greek is valued but not mandatory.

About You

  • We welcome applicants that have experience in disability support, community services, mental health, or nursing.
  • You could be an experienced Support Worker or even new to the industry coming from experience in customer service, administration, retail, or hospitality.

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary range for this role is $29.06 to $32.56 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications.
