Home Care Support Specialist

At Australian Unity, our Home Health program provides in-home support services to help our aged care customers live independently, empowered and supported within their own homes and communities.
We are currently recruiting care staff for the Northern Sydney area, including Hornsby, Willoughby, Ku-ring-gai, Hunter's Hill, Ryde, Beecroft, Crows Nest, Lavender Bay, Waverton, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney, Davidson, Epping, Ku-ring-gai, Lane Cove, Ryde, Willoughby, Macquarie Park, St. Leonards, Wakehurst, Pittwater, Warringah, Berowra, Bradfield and surrounding suburbs
What We Offer:
- Permanent Part-time or Casual contracts available depending on your location and availability to work
- Earn from $29.06 to $32.56 per hour based on experience plus 11.5% superannuation
- Travel Allowance of $0.92 per KM PLUS paid travel time
- Stable Roster & opportunity to work extra hours based on business needs

- Traineeship Opportunity: Become Cert III qualified in Individual Support (Aged Care) - all fees paid (for eligible employees)

About Your New Role:
- Assist Clients at Home: Help with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation etc.
- Transportation and Personal Care: Assist clients with appointments, shopping, social outings, showering, toileting, feeding etc.
- Client Awareness: Build relationships with clients and their families, conduct client observations with ongoing support and training
- Safety Practices: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to keep yourself and our customers safe
Key Requirements:
- Current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable comprehensively insured vehicle
- Flexibility and availability to work rosters between Monday to Friday
- Willingness to travel across all suburbs that the branch services
- All Australian Unity Employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with a minimum of 2 doses
- Proficiency in an additional language such as Mandarin/Vietnamese/Spanish/Arabic/Lebanese/Greek is valued but not mandatory

- Assistant in Nursing (AIN) experience
- Bachelor of Social Work/Nursing qualifications
You Could Be: An experienced Support Worker or new to the industry with customer service, administration, retail or hospitality experience.
