The national operation is working to deliver a more customer-focused, integrated approach within the Community Services Group (CSG).
Our team sits within the Environmental Prediction Services (EPS) program, which aims to establish a world-class centre of scientific expertise through four predictive service teams.
The Marine and Antarctic team delivers environmental prediction services for marine, coastal, and ocean hazards across Australia and Antarctica, including surrounding ice areas and international waters.
We lead the development and maintenance of tsunami, marine weather, and coastal hazard capabilities, ensuring emergency services and community customers receive critical information in time.
The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance our capabilities and contribute to the delivery of high-impact warning services for tsunami, storm surge, tidal extremes, and other hazards affecting low-lying coastal areas and the marine environment.
