Pivotal Antarctic Weather Specialist

As an Antarctic Weather Expert, you will play a pivotal role in supporting operational services in Antarctica.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills of meteorologists deployed to various Antarctic locations.
- Collaborate with experts across the Australian Antarctic Division and the wider Australian Antarctic Program to provide critical weather information for aviation, marine, and terrestrial operations.
- Issue timely and accurate weather reports electronically and via briefings.
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders associated with the Program to facilitate seamless service delivery.
- Work standard business hours from an Australian office, but may be required to join operational rosters during significant events.
- Deploy to Antarctica or cover roles to support the deployment of other meteorologists to Antarctica.
- Enhance competencies across Antarctic weather and ice services.
