About The Role

Data is the lifeblood of modern business, particularly for digital-only organisations where all user actions can be tracked.

Immutable needs a world-class data capability to make better or faster decisions.

The Head of Data will create this capability as a service for the business through hiring, training, education, outsourcing, and technology-building.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build a data-driven culture at Immutable and manage business expectations.
  2. Set the technical standard for our data team across analytics and engineering.
  3. Bring strong opinions about using data to create value for Immutable and identify how to solve business problems with data and trade-off competing priorities.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and related technologies.
  5. Collaborate with various teams to ensure data analysis and recommendations align with the overall business strategy and objectives.
  6. Present visualisations and generate reports that effectively communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor or Master in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Science, Econometrics).
  2. 2+ years managing a team with 8+ years of industry technical experience.
  3. Experience with Python, SQL + cloud-based data stack (GCP, AWS Azure etc.) + BI tools.
  4. Management experience in small or medium-sized growth tech companies.
  5. Experience hiring/growing/building a world-class team.
