Role Purpose & Objective:

As a Data Analytics & Insights Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring data analytics is a growth lever and developing the analytics practice to elevate the company's data maturity through data-driven insights.

You'll manage and mentor a team of 9 data analytics analysts and work closely with stakeholders across the business to devise strategies, prioritize, and deliver business value from our data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the data analytics team actively contributes to strategic plans around data architecture and design to improve products, infrastructure, and processes.
  • Shape the data analytics team culture across the wider organization by supporting self-serve data capabilities, mentoring & coaching peers, and evangelizing data democratization and data products.
  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts to unlock and amplify value from Hipages' data assets by identifying, integrating, and documenting relevant data sets within the existing data ecosystem.
  • Develop organizational-wide frameworks and approaches to analytics from experimentation to forecasting.
  • Evolving Hipages' data analytics stack to tackle challenges and realize opportunities by providing data capabilities to cross-functional teams, maturing infrastructure, and developing data products.
  • Mentor, coach, and support analysts in their craft, developing leadership capabilities, talent management, engagement, and the alignment of work to strategy, practices, and priorities.
  • Support the team with prioritizing use cases, requirements, and participate in agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to growing our user base by designing and delivering segmentation strategies to build a customized consumer experience.

Your Experience:

  • Tertiary degree qualified in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in Information Technology and Management (Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, etc.) and/or quantitative fields.
  • Experience leading data analysts, defining team strategy, and data roadmaps.
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced knowledge of BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, etc.).
  • Strong competency in SQL and experience wrangling data with R or Python.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written - be able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas - stakeholder management and community education are vital in this role.
  • Experience with a wide range of analytical approaches (Forecasting, clustering, econometric modeling, segmentation, etc.).
  • Experience leading projects in an agile team (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Experience leading projects across multiple departments, such as Sales, Service, Marketing, Product, and Engineering.
  • Strong capability of managing and prioritizing a number of competing tasks from different stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Databricks and cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with streaming data.
  • Relevant experience in a marketplace or digital-native organization.
