Event Coordination Role:

The Event Operations Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing all events, conferences, and social gatherings at the hotel. This role is an excellent opportunity to showcase your organizational skills and attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Cross promote and up-sell hotel facilities and services to guests.
  • Verify that credit facilities are in place as required.
  • Ensure accurate client billing before sending out invoices.
  • Collaborate with the group coordinator to confirm all contracts are correct and completed.
  • Maintain high guest service standards that meet clients' expectations.
  • Work closely with the Banquet Manager and floor operations team to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Participate in regular meetings to discuss current and future business.
  • Keep detailed records of client history files.
  • Manage Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and event planning with clients.
  • Meet with clients on the day of the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Provide exceptional communication and respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee the transition of events.
  • Responsible for coordinating the hotel's events, internal functions, and social gatherings.
  • Analyze and create detailed BEOs tailored to client requirements.
  • Assist and coordinate event arrangements to exceed guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to maximize business leads.
  • Work closely with associates and other departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements:

  • A thorough understanding of the Marriott Rewards Program.
  • The ability to follow established Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate care and consideration for colleagues.
