Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the ramp up and preparedness of sovereign capability in Townsville, managing a team of technical personnel, and ensuring adherence to aviation policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of aircraft systems and infrastructure in Townsville.
  • Recruit, manage and develop technical personnel to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to the 1 Aviation Regiment (1Avn) Operational Unit at RAAF Base Townsville and Army Aviation Training Centre (AAvnTC).
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Operations Manager to deliver technical and logistics services that meet the needs of the operational unit.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Part 145 Aviation Maintenance Organisation and/or Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Training Organisation standards.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Licence with supervisory exclusion removed.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate between stakeholders of differing cultural backgrounds and experience.
  • Strong business acumen and emotional intelligence to navigate stakeholder competing needs in a fast-paced environment.
