Aircraft Maintenance Role Overview
This is a unique opportunity to work as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics, supporting the CH-47F Chinook at RAAF Base Townsville in North Queensland.
You will be responsible for maintaining advanced avionics and electrical systems, directly contributing to their mission readiness.
- Manage maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems ensuring regulatory compliance
- Perform various maintenance activities, certify work, and mentor junior technicians
- Contribute to building a skilled workforce in a challenging and rewarding environment
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
- Proven knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and DASR 145 Regulatory Framework
- Previous experience as a maintenance certifier or trade supervisor with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to foster productive working relationships to meet team and organizational goals
- Solid understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures, along with experience in computer-based maintenance management systems
