The Coordinator, Major Research Initiatives, plays a vital role in supporting the identification and development of opportunities for RMIT researchers to partner with external stakeholders.

Job Description

This fixed-term position until October 2024 involves coordinating research grant schemes such as Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) and managing ongoing relationships with RMIT's external partners.



Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in developing projects and grants involving industry, government, and/or universities.
  • Interpreting competitive research funding scheme rules and providing feedback to applicants.
  • Working with researchers and end-users, dealing with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong customer relations, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • A demonstrated history of behavior aligned to the RMIT values and professional capability framework.


Salary and Benefits
