Job Title:Water/Wastewater Treatment Project Manager

Description

This is a high-level position responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and management of water and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in water/wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, permitting, and construction administration.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of process designs, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience is required, along with 7+ years of experience in treatment design and infrastructure projects with demonstrated team management experience. Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, treatment process design, pump station design, and utility infrastructure is also essential.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from planning through construction, and to develop sustainable and resilient water infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects from planning through construction
  • Develop and review process designs, technical reports, and construction documents
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and clients
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and scopes to ensure successful delivery
  • Support permitting efforts and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
  • Lead or participate in project meetings, design workshops, and site visits
  • Assist with proposal development and contribute to client relationship management
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 7+ years of experience in treatment design and infrastructure projects with demonstrated team management experience
  • Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, treatment process design, pump station design, and utility infrastructure
  • Self-motivated, engaged, and team-oriented with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Strong leadership and project management skills as well as excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of contracts, accounting principles, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Execute multiple tasks under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of fostering existing client relationships
